So often the addict feels as if there is no hope. No hope because drugs and alcohol has taken one to a place of reckless abandonment. The addicted person feels as if they have been shipwrecked at sea and no one will come to their rescue. Secluded on a island of despair, the thought of hope rolls out with the tide and lost in the abyss of addiction. The feelings that no one cares or understands keep the addicted person lost at sea. I understand this because I was on that island of hopelessness and despair, but I was rescued. My family, friends and addiction treatment helped me see that I was not alone and that there is hope. Please, do not be afraid to reach out and take hold of the life jacket. Life awaits you, help for the hopeless is reaching out to resuce you. Reach out and call today and begin your journey to freedom.
