Painful Addiction
Most of us have at some point in time have been hurt physcially and mentally. For many the way out of pain is to numb the feeling with the use of harmful drugs and alcohol. Getting high is a way to cope with the pain and anger of physical and mental abuse. Even if this has happened years ago, the memories are there and resloution of the past hurt has to take place or the cyle of addiction will continue. Unfortunately, drugs and alcohol know how to take away the pain but it is only momentary. As soon as the drug or drink wears off the pain is still there but only worse because nothing has been done to stop it.

With addiction there is no difference the one suffering has to recieve attention for their sickness. One cannot simply apply a band-aid and hope that the scarred tissue deep down will heal. Now is the time to help yourself or your loved one begin to relief from addiction. Addiction treatment is the hospital for those who try to numb the pain with harmful drugs, alcohol, gambling, cutting, food, sex or anything that is keeping one from liking and loving oneself.
