Road to Recovery

Lyrics from Amy Grant. How these words are so true for those who are baffled by the power of addiction. Substance abuse takes reality and distorts it with false truth. The use of drugs or alcohol take the user to places far away from the problems of life. But what happens when the drugs or alcohol wear off is one of two things, continued abuse of drugs or the call for help.
Addiction treatment is a powerful tool in the fight against drug abuse. The help that is provided by the professionals at drug rehabs give the addict the opportunity to see life with new eyes and a new purpose. Drugs are a surface problem, the difficulty is what lies underneath the surface. The abuse of drugs and alcohol mask the root problems; physical abuse, verbal abuse, broken families, sexual abuse to name a few could lead one to try and escape by using harmful drugs.
The road to recovery is paved with hope, grace and mercy. Drug rehab is a stop on that road that will give you or your loved answers to the questions of why substance abuse destroy one’ life and how to get that life back. These questions and many more will be answered by providing one with education and tools that will aid in breaking the cycle of addiction that is keeping one from being a productive family member and a productive citizen of society.
